Los Arcos is a small restaurant and coffee shop located in the main square of Izamal, a small but very touristic village in Yucatan, Mexico.
Los Arcos started as a small coffee shop that served cold drinks as well. They asked me if I could help them improve their current beverages menu displayed as a handwritten sign. They were looking for something colorful that would get the local people and tourists attention. I decided to give it a "hand-drawn" look and to display some images related to the beverages flavours so that even non-spanish speaking tourists could understand or at least get interested.
I usually start with some exploration drawings to figure out the style and also to get some inspiration from other artists.
Here are some samples of how the paper sketches became a digital image.
